Dinking Derby

OPC will be hosting a “FUN” round robin event of pickleball played in the non-volley zone. This tournament will be held on Wednesday, August 27th from 8:30 – 12:00 pm. Registration will open on August 5th at 5:00pm. 64 maximum participants. (Link to register will go out prior to August 5th in a separate email) $10 cost per person, plus Pickleball Canada sign up fee. Sorry no refunds. Prizes for semi-finalists and winners. We will also be having some random draws for all participants.

We will be playing 10 rounds of games on 8 courts. Participants will play a minimum of 5 games with various partners. Each dinking game will be rally points played to 15. Serve is a ‘cross-court’ dink that must bounce in the NVZ. First 2 players listed on the schedule will be partners and will serve first. All shots must be taken on the bounce and must land in the Non-Volley zone. Any shot landing outside the non-volley zone is a fault. Win/Loss will be recorded as well as points. The top 8 players, determined by number of wins, then points, will play in the semi-final matches, with the 4 winners moving on to the finals. Winning teams that meet in the final will split with the other 2 winners.
